Understanding writing

Sometimes it takes me days or even hours to write things out. Those things turn into stories. For years after high school I had writers block. Then one day I was listing to the band Def Leppard and thought of how amazing their story of success was. So I started writing again using my imagination and used some of their music as inspiration to write a story line. Giving someone the proper credit for their work is important because they put a lot of thought into their music, words, and writing their papers. When I write my stories I try to be as originally as possible. When I can't I do give credit to my outside sources. So it would only be fair that say I inspired someone else to write and they wanted to use something I wrote, that they give me credit. After all I spent hours if not even years writing say my book or paper. Citing is very important.

  1. You are right, Rebecca, about citing being important. I know I would be pretty mad if I wrote a book on some kind of science research or whatnot and someone used some of the information that I had attained completely by myself and did not give me credit. Especially if it was in some sort of important magazine, like National Geographic (which I love). So, I, too, try to be as orginal as possible when writing but sometimes you have to use someone else's work. Therefore, you cite that someone's work and they will appreciate it greatly.
